Nine hundred youths and women in Edo are benefitting from a phased funded agribusiness programme known as the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprise in the Niger Delta (LIFE-ND). The Project Coordinator, LIFE-ND in Edo, Mr Jude Ekpu, disclosed this at a one-day orientation, organised for the beneficiaries on Thursday in Benin. The federal government has charged critical stakeholders to re-double efforts towards ending open defecation by the year 2025. The Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu, gave the charge on Thursday in Ibadan, during the inauguration of the Oyo State Open Defecation Free Roadmap and Declaration of State of Emergency on Water Sanitation and Hygiene. The Nigerian bourse on Thursday closed further with a loss, as market capitalisation shed N281.2 billion to close at N26.78 trillion from N27.06 trillion posted on Wednesday. Similarly, the All-Share Index (ASI) dropped by 1.04 per cent to close at 49, 667.14 points from 50,188.55 points recorded on Wednesday.
