The Zeberced Group says it plans to provide vocational training to 2,000 young Nigerians annually and create 40,000 direct jobs across West Africa.
The company also announced plans to establish a FIFA-approved football academy for children and youths to nurture sporting talents for national and international opportunities.
The Managing Director of Zeberced Group, Mr Adil Aydin Kurt, disclosed this when executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja on Friday.
The delegation, led by the Council’s Chairperson, Ms Grace Ike, visited the Abuja Industrial Park Free Zone to explore strategic collaboration with the company.
Kurt revealed that the proposed Technical and Vocational Training School will admit and train about 2,000 young Nigerians every year in fields such as construction, machine design, motor vehicle repair, plumbing, metal work, furniture making, and electrical technologies.
He said the initiative would create 40,000 direct jobs, tackle unemployment, strengthen the industrial workforce, and promote entrepreneurship.
“Zeberced is working on a vocational school to offer training to young Nigerians, providing 40,000 direct jobs,” Kurt stated.
The school aims to equip youths with practical, industry-relevant skills for employment and self-reliance.
Reaffirming confidence in Nigeria’s future, Kurt said Zeberced remains committed to long-term investments and human capital development.
“We need to bring qualified people from different parts of the world to Nigeria because the future is Africa,” he said.
Beyond education, the company plans to establish a FIFA-approved football academy to groom talented children for professional sports careers.
Kurt noted that Zeberced operates Africa’s first integrated mining quarry and is expanding investments across manufacturing, construction, and other key sectors. The group also intends to facilitate hundreds of factories within the Idu Industrial Area to boost local manufacturing.
He explained that the industrial development project, which started 15 years ago, has progressed steadily through resilience and sustained investment.
In her response, Ms Grace Ike commended Zeberced for its strong commitment to youth empowerment and national development. She described the projects as a timely intervention to address unemployment and support Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda.
Ike briefed Kurt on the NUJ FCT Council’s ongoing ultra-modern Congress Hall project, which has reached an advanced stage, and appealed for the company’s support to complete the facility.
Kurt expressed the group’s willingness to support the project and reaffirmed its commitment to partnerships that strengthen public institutions.
Zeberced Group has operated in Nigeria since 2007, with major investments in manufacturing, construction, and infrastructure development.
