The Gombe state Executive Council (SEC) has approved N173.72 billion budget proposed for 2023 fiscal year. The state Commissioner for Finance, Mohammed Magaji stated this at the end of the SEC meeting on Wednesday in Gombe. He said the SEC meeting presided over by Gov. Inuwa Yahaya, approved the draft 2023 budget proposal for presentation to the State House of Assembly. The German government on Wednesday, said that it plans to make plastic manufacturers contribute to the cost of cleaning up litter in streets and parks. The Cabinet agreed on a bill that makers of products containing single-use plastic will need to pay into a central fund managed by the government, starting in 2025. The fund is estimated to collect about €450 million ($446 million) in the first year, based on the companies’ past production of single-use plastic. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has directed Osun state Commissioner of Police, CP Olaleye Faleye to investigate the alleged assault on woman inspector, Olorunsogo Bamidele by her DCO in Ode Omu.
