Three staff members of AIICO Capital Ltd were on Thursday arraigned before an Ikeja Special Offences Court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly defrauding their employer, an investment company, of N1.4 billion. The staff members: Harriet Onome, Olajumoke Akano and Olabode Ogunlere, were charged with four counts of conspiracy and stealing. They however denied the charges. A non-governmental organisation, Aid Foundation, has trained service providers in public and private sectors and professional bodies on improving access to infrastructure, services for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Kaduna State. COVID-19 infections have continued to rise globally for more than a month now, with over four million cases reported in the past week alone, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has said. World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General, Tedros Ghebreyesus has called for a moratorium on COVID-19 vaccine boosters until “at least the end of September” to enable the world’s most vulnerable people to be inoculated.
