The Chairman of Bendel Insurance FC, Jarrett Tenebe, has met with FIFA-licensed football agent Drew Uyi in London to chart strategies for repositioning the club on the global stage ahead of the 2026/2027 football season.
The meeting focused on strengthening the club’s international presence through player branding, talent development, global marketing, and strategic commercial partnerships.
Central to the discussions was a proposed athlete-branding programme aimed at helping Bendel Insurance players build professional identities, enhance their digital presence, and improve media visibility to attract international clubs, scouts, and sponsorship opportunities.
The duo also explored initiatives to increase the global marketability of the club’s players while reinforcing Bendel Insurance’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s foremost football institutions.
Tenebe reiterated his commitment to transforming Bendel Insurance into a more competitive and commercially sustainable club, stressing that innovation, professionalism, and strategic partnerships are critical to success in modern football.
According to him, the club remains focused on creating opportunities that will enhance player development and position Bendel Insurance for sustained success both in Nigeria and on the international stage.
Uyi, a FIFA-licensed football agent, international brand strategist, and Founder/Chief Executive Officer of DD Eleven Group Ltd, pledged to support the club’s vision by leveraging his global football network and expertise in player branding.
He noted that while talent remains vital, effective branding has become equally important in increasing players’ market value and opening doors to international opportunities.
Both parties expressed confidence that the London meeting would serve as the foundation for a strategic collaboration that would elevate Bendel Insurance FC’s international profile and strengthen the club’s preparations for the 2026/2027 season.
They added that implementation plans for the agreed initiatives were already being developed as part of the club’s long-term strategy for sustainable growth, competitiveness, and excellence.
