The International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) and the National Headquarters of the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), have commenced training of 20 selected volunteers from Niger on Coronavirus (COVID-19) response. A newly appointed Assistant Inspector General, AIG, of Police, Rabiu Yusuf has died. The late AIG Yusuf who was buried in Abuja on Saturday, was recently appointed AIG in charge of Zone 14, which comprises Katsina and Kaduna states. At the time of his appointment, late Yusuf was reported to be recuperating from an illness and not resumed office when he suddenly died. The Inspector General of Police, IGP, Muhammad Adamu has described the late Yusuf as a dedicated and committed officer whose demise will be missed by the force.
