Police arrest man for allegedly stealing FRSC patrol vehicle

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command, have arrested one Hamisu Tukur for allegedly stealing a patrol vehicle, which belongs to the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC.

The Command Spokesperson, DSP Anjuguri Manzah in a statement on Sunday, said the 25-year-old was apprehended at the outskirt of Bwari, during a stop-and-search operation.

According to the statement, a distress call was received by the Command’s control room on Saturday on the vehicle, which was stolen at Sky Memorial Complex in Wuse Zone 5.

“The exhibits recovered from the suspect are: one white Toyota Hilux-HQ-26RS and a single key”, Manzah said adding that the suspect will be arraigned in court after the end of an investigation.

The police assured residents of their safety and urged them to report emergencies via 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.
