It advised motorists to avoid driving during heavy rainfall and urged residents to unplug electrical appliances from power sockets.

The agency also advised people to stay away from tall trees to avoid injuries from falling branches or uprooted trees.

NiMet advised airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather reports from the agency to support effective operational planning.
