Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, says he will sign the execution warrant of a 30-year-old man, Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, sentenced to death by hanging by an Upper Shari’a Court. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Thursday night announced 296 new cases of COVID-19. The Centre through its Twitter handle, @NCDCgov said the total had rose to 53,317. Of the new cases, Plateau, of the 17 states, maintained its lead for third day running with 85 cases, with Enugu and Oyo recording 46 and 31, respectively. Others are Lagos-21, Rivers-20, FCT-15, Kaduna-13, Bauchi-12, Delta-11 and Ekiti-11. Others are Akwa Ibom-7, Ebonyi-6, Kwara-5, Ogun-4, Osun-4, Gombe-3, Niger-2.
