Michael Jackson’s famous 2,700-acre Southern California ranch has been sold for 22 million dollars to billionaire Ron Burkle, The Wall Street Journal reported. Burkle, who Forbes estimates is worth 1.5 billion dollars, was a friend of Jackson, who helped manage his money in the mid-2000s, according to the Journal. He is also co-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Neverland was first put on the market in 2015, available for 100 million dollars six years after Jackson’s death. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo  has set up an adhoc Technical Advisory Group to support the implementation of the 5-year National Multi-Sectoral Plan of Action on Nutrition (NMPAN). The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has registered 1,041 new infections of the COVID-19 in the country. The NCDC stated on its website on Thursday that the new infections brought the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 81,963, out of which 69,651 patients had been discharged and 1,242 deaths recorded. It said that the 1,041 new cases were recorded in 22 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Another new variant of the novel COVID-19 has reportedly emerged in Nigeria, the director of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), John Nkengasong revealed on Thursday. He told an online news conference from Addis Ababa, cautioning that more investigation was needed to ascertain the claim. Nigeria’s Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, has announced new travel rules for passengers coming into Nigeria  from South Africa and the UK, where a new variant of the virus had been discovered.
