The Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of a new State Women Leader and Zonal Secretary for Sokoto South Senatorial District.
The appointments were announced during a State Working Committee meeting chaired by the Sokoto State PDP Chairman, Muhammadu Bello Aliyu Goronyo.
Those appointed are:
- Amina Awwal Yar Tsakuwa as State Women Leader
- Umaru Arzika Mandera as Zonal Secretary for Sokoto South Senatorial District
- Nunu S. Fawa Goronyo as State Ex-Officio member.
Amina Awwal Yar Tsakuwa replaces Zainab Naseer Dogon Daji, who was removed for alleged anti-party activities. Similarly, Umaru Arzika Mandera replaces Ahmed S. Pawa, who was also removed for the same reason.

Nunu S. Fawa Goronyo replaces Amina Awwal Yar Tsakuwa, who was elevated to the position of State Women Leader.
The Chairman congratulated the new appointees and urged them to uphold the principles of the party and work diligently for its progress at all levels.
