Nearly 85,000 bottles of Parodontax Active Gum Health Mouthwash are being recalled after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found that some units may be missing or display incorrect lot numbers and/or expiration dates.
The recall affects 16.9-fluid-ounce, mint-flavoured, alcohol-free Parodontax mouthwash distributed nationwide in stores and online by Haleon of Warren, New Jersey.
According to the FDA, the affected product should carry lot number 0665363 with an expiration date of August 31, 2027, but this information may be absent on some bottles.
A total of 84,764 bottles are included in the recall, which the FDA has classified as Class III, the lowest risk category, indicating the issue is not likely to cause adverse health consequences.
The FDA did not issue specific instructions on product returns. Consumers with concerns are advised to contact Parodontax via its website to report a product issue or quality complaint.
