A group, Concerned NEPA/PHCN Pensioners, has accused the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) of deliberately withholding their pension arrears. The group made the allegation during an interview with reporters on Saturday in Lagos. Its Chairman, Mr Oladimeji Dunmoye, alleged that PTAD was colluding with some individuals to delay the payment of the arrears. The Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Board has launched a community outreach programme on health education to curb the spread of waterborne diseases across the state. The Nigeria Tobacco Control Alliance has called for the establishment of smoke-free cities across the country to protect children and non-smokers from the harmful effects of second-hand tobacco smoke.
