The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says that the N4 billion unspent money in its 2020 Budget is meant for recruitment of staff. The University of Benin (UNIBEN), on Wednesday, said its post-direct entry (Post-UDE) admission screening exercise for the 2020/2021 academic session would hold between Dec. 14 and Dec. 16. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), on Wednesday said a meeting it held with the Federal Government was inconclusive. Ten inmates of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) in Kano State have applied for admission into the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) for the 2020/2021 academic year. Mr Suleiman Tsadu-Suleiman, Controller of Corrections in charge of Kano State, told newsmen on Wednesday in Kano that the inmates were awaiting admission at the Kano Study centre of the institution. The Securities and Exchange Commission may soon withdraw the registration certificates of about 157 inactive Capital Market Operators (CMOs). The Commission issued a pre-notice for the cancellation or withdrawal of the certificates and posted same on its website. It said the decision followed the failure of the operators to render their statutory returns to the Commission and added that they either had their capital eroded or were affected by policy changes.
