The Department of State Services (DSS), on Wednesday, produced the 12 detained associates of Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, before a Federal High Court, Abuja in compliance with its earlier order. The Department of State Services (DSS) says it will investigate the alleged assault on Mr Oluwagbemiga Olamikan, a Photo Journalist with the Vanguard Newspapers by its personnel. The spokesperson of the SSS, Dr Peter Afunanya disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja in reaction to the alleged assault on the journalist. The Sokoto State Commissioner for Health, Dr Ali Inname, says 14 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members have been confirmed positive with COVID-19 in the state. Inname said this during a news conference in Sokoto on Tuesday. He said the infected members were detected in the ongoing orientation exercise and had already been moved to isolation centre for prompt treatment. Russia registered 22,589 COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, up from 22,010 the day before, taking the overall tally to 6,356,784, the federal response centre said on Wednesday. “Over the past day, 22,589 COVID-19 cases were confirmed across 85 Russian regions, including 2,048 cases 9.1per cent without clinical symptoms,” the centre said, adding that the rate of increase grew to 0.36 per cent.
