An oil leak has been reported at an oilfield operated by the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) around Ogboinbiri in the Southern Ijaw local government Area of Bayelsa. The oil leak, which occurred on Oct. 17 at the NAOC Wellhead 9, was reportedly caused by equipment failure. Indonesia and China have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to conduct a feasibility study of a $560-million coal-to-methanol plant, according to a recent statement released from Indonesia’s Industry Ministry.
