The Kaduna state ministerial nominee, Abbas Balarabe Lawal, on Wednesday, collapsed at the screening after presenting his resume.
Lawal, who replaced Nasir El-Rufai collapsed at exactly 1. 48PM, Solacebase reports.
Lawal collapsed immediately after introducing himself and one of the Senators from Kaduna was making his address.
Immediately, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio requested for water and sugar to be administered to the nominee.
Akpabio directed the shutting down of cameras as the session was televised live, while efforts were on to resuscitate the nominee.
Abbas Lawal Balarabe who was born on February 5, 1958 (65 years), hails from Kachia Local Government, Kaduna State.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1978-1981).
He also holds an M.Sc in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1984-1986).
