Former APWEN chair Eterigho addresses global engineering conference

Chemical engineering academic and former President of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), Engineer Elizabeth Eterigho, on Wednesday spoke as a plenary speaker at the 4th International Process Intensification Conference (IPIC4).

The event which took place in Montreal, Canada he five-day event, which runs from June 21 through June 25, gathers researchers, industry professionals, and innovators from around the world to explore advancements in process intensification. The conference focuses heavily on the discipline’s role in developing sustainable, efficient, and resilient industrial systems globally.

Eterigho’s invitation to deliver a plenary address marks another significant milestone in a career defined by research and leadership. Well-known for her impactful tenure as the chairperson of APWEN, Eterigho brings a proven track record of championing engineering initiatives and professional development. At IPIC4, she is leveraging this background to direct her focus toward capacity building, sustainability, and the practical application of engineering solutions for broader societal impact.

Addressing the international forum, Eterigho stated she is honored to share insights drawn from her extensive research and professional background. She emphasized her commitment to participating in global conversations on innovation and noted her eagerness to learn from the groundbreaking work being presented by her distinguished colleagues.

Organizers of IPIC4 designed the conference to facilitate critical dialogue across the international process engineering community.
