ASHENEWS reports that Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has further gone wild and his political relationship with the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar further gone sour with the revocation by him of the Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) hitherto issued in favour of the Le Meridien Hotel, Port Harcourt.
This online platform further reports that the notice to revoke the C of O was published on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, 2022, being a Christmas Day on the allegation that the hotel failed to pay ground rent.
Reacting to the development, however, a former Special Adviser to Wike on Media who now supports the presidential ambition of Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Opunabo Inko-Tariah claimed on Tuesday, that Wike actually withdrew Le Meridien Hotel’s Certificate of Occupancy because it hosted a political meeting held by the associates of the PDP presidential candidate in Rivers state.

According to Inko-Tariah, Wike’s revocation of the C-of-O was because people loyal to Atiku met in the Hotel and he wants to frustrate the campaign of Atiku/Okowa.
“Nothing untoward took place. So, on what ground is he (Wike) revoking the C of O? It is simply because these are people loyal to Atiku and he wants to frustrate the campaign of Atiku/Okowa.
“You know I had warned earlier that these so-called Executive Orders are going to be prescriptions for anarchy because there is a limit to which anyone can take such madness. You push a man to the wall it bounces back.
“Now, some people went and destroyed Magnus Abe’s property (SDP Campaign Office) and of course, there was a retaliation, they also went and destroyed PDP property. What do you expect?” He said.
