…Ward EXCO pass a vote of confidence on Salihu

The State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has described the purported suspension of , the Northeast National Vice Chairman, Mustapha Salihu as illicit and illegal.

The State Secretary of the Party, Dr. Raymond Chidama in a statement, aimed that faceless and unknown persons were being used by the enemies of the party to disrupt the glaring chances of winning the forthcoming elections.

Condemning the suspension of Rumde ward party chairman in Yola Local Government area by the party crashers, Raymond declared that their interloping attitude is unconstitutional, null and void and it is of no effect.

“We advise faithful members of our party to disregard such publication,” he said.

Also, the chairman of Rumbe ward, Abdulkadir Abdullahi in a swift reaction to the purported suspension said the action can never be and it remains unrealistic.

He said that the Ward is peaceful and their relationship with Salihu is cordial with unbroken party affiliation and as such no one will suspend himm who has been a good leader, a true party man.

Abdullahi in a press conference in Yola, at which all other executives members were summoned to sign a register of vote of confidence on Salihu.

“In my capacity as the ward chairman of Rumde ward, I stand to say this is not true and can’t be possible because nothing as such ever happened.

“I’m therefore calling on all APC Supporters and loyalists to remain calm and peaceful to face the election coming ahead,” he said.

They collectively endorsed Salihu and called on the general public to regard the suspension as a rumor that will never see the light of day.

Also, our correspondent was reliably told by someone who has been an APC die-hard in a condition of anonymity that the suspension was mischievously masterminded by an ADC House of Assembly candidate for Yola North, Sanusi Bakari.
