ASHENEWS reports that a former member of the House of Representatives, and Commissioner of Finance in Sokoto state, Abdussamad Dasuki has called on the people of Sokoto South Senatorial District to elect Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as Senator, and those of Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal Constituency, to elect him as House of Representatives member to the National Assembly (NASS).

Dasuki made the call at the ongoing statewide campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which held in Tambuwal on Sunday.

According to him, Tambuwal became a national exemplary role model when he served in the House, especially as Speaker.

“Tambuwal, since his days in the House of Representatives where he also became Speaker, has been a good example and role model. He also raised the status of his constituency within and outside the country. As Governor for eight years, he has retained the exemplary leadership that people of other states are yearning to have.

“I urge you to support and elect him as Senator because his election will further enable him put his best for the good of the people of this Zone, and Sokoto State at large.

He said that with Tambuwal and him at the National Assembly, the sky will be the limit in terms of welfare and development.

Dasuki advised the people of the Zone and his constituency against electing those that would not provide purposeful representation in the Parliament.

“Election persons that will be unable to sponsor bills and motions for the good of the people in NASS, will be loss of vote. It is important for you to vote for people according to their merit. It is important you vote PDP candidates at all levels in Sokoto,” he enthused.

Dasuki emphasised that Tambuwal and he will continue to teach, especially the new comers the rudiments of legislation because of the experience they have garnered over the years in the National Assembly.
