Turkish industrial group Eczacibasi on Friday confirmed that a helicopter with seven people on board, including four Turkish citizens had gone missing in northern Italy. The Turkish foreign ministry also confirmed the incident, noting the search and rescue efforts for the helicopter continued. A team from the company, including an Italian pilot, took off from the Iralian city of Lucca and headed for Treviso on Thursday morning but disappeared near the Modena region, said a statement by Eczacibasi. An Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun on Friday sentenced a 30-year old woman, Adekunle Hanna, to six months in prison for stealing clothes, shoes and other valuables valued at N700,000. The Police charged Hanna, whose address was not provided, with stealing. The convict had pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against her. In her ruling, Magistrate A.O. Adeyemi sentenced the convict to six months imprisonment with an option of N20,000 fine and also directed to pay N328,000 to the complainant. The statutory minimum wage in Germany will rise to €12 per hour ($12.89) in October, after a vote in the upper house of parliament on Friday. Currently, the minimum wage is €9.82. On July 1, it will raise to €10.45, at the same time, the maximum remuneration for so-called “mini-jobs” will rise from €450 to €520 per month in October. The Economic and social financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) told an Ikeja Special Offences Court on Friday that the social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha (alias Mompha) flouted the court order and traveled to Dubai with new international passport. The longest serving emir in Zamfara, Emir of Kwatarkwashi in Bungudu local government area, Ahmad Umar (Mai-Kwatarshi),  died on Thursday at 93, having been on the throne for 61 years. The Secretary to the State Government, Kabiru Balarabe, who disclosed this in a public announcement, said the emir died after a prolonged illness at 93.
