Kenya’s electoral commission has announced the country’s vice president, William Ruto as the winner of the presidential election, reports on Monday say. Kaduna state government has described as fake news the report that the state has been renamed to Zazzau. Early Monday, reports online claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari had signed a bill to rename Kaduna state to Zazzau state. The reports alleged that the bill was jointly sponsored by Senators Suleiman Abdu Kwari and Uba Sani. The jets of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Friday, stroke Kurebe village in Shiroro local government area of Niger state, killing eight persons, including a seven year old. Jigawa state government has confirmed that flood has killed 50 persons and displaced several communities in the state. The Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Sani Yusuf who spoke with newsmen on Saturday, said the flood destroyed thousands of homes in the state.
