Voters in four states who had filed lawsuits in court to disrupt President-elect Joe Biden’s win, have withdrawn the cases Monday morning, CNN reports. The cases were short-lived in Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania federal courts. The suits, which mirrored one another were all backed by the law firm of a nationally known conservative attorney, James Bopp Jr. CNN further reports that in Michigan and Pennsylvania, the cases had also gone hand in hand with ones brought by the Trump campaign.

The UK Government has announced a further $16.1 million (£12.2 million) in funding for research of the SARS-CoV-2 virus’ genome structure in an effort to prevent the future spread of COVID-19, an Official said. Isa made the disclosure at the swearing-in of the 2020 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 corps members on Monday in Abuja. The Federal government has introduced a new evaluation system, called Performance Management System (PMS), in place of Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER), to assess civil servants’ performances. The Defence Headquarters says troops of ‘Operation Accord’ have arrested 10 bandits with 88 rustled livestock, neutralised two and rescued kidnapped victims in recent encounters in Katsina and Zamfara States.
