A Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday adjourned until Jan. 22,  trial of  former Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti for N6.9 billion fraud and money laundering. Fayose is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was first arraigned on Oct. 22. 2018, on 11 counts before Justice Mojisola Olatotegun. He was arraigned alongside his company, Spotless Investment Ltd. Fayose pleaded not guilty and was granted bail on Oct. 24, 2018, in the sum of N50 million with sureties in like sum. At least four civilians have been killed between Thursday and Friday by the terror group, Boko Haram in Cameroon’s far north region, local authorities said on Friday. The traditional ruler of Wemdeley village was killed overnight into Friday, while three other persons were killed early Thursday in Talla Massali village when Boko Haram invaded the localities, authorities confirmed. The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Taskforce Team, PRTF, Mr Abulrasheed Maina to be remanded in prison custody till the end of his trial on alleged N2 billion corruption. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, produced the former Chairman, the defunct Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abulrasheed Maina, at the Federal High Court, Abuja, to stand his trial.
