Niger Republic has extradited the former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Mr Abdulrasheed Maina to Nigeria, reports in Abuja say. Recall that Maina was arrested in Niger’s capital, Niamey, having jumped bail and declared wanted by an Abuja High Court. He was received on Thursday by men of the Nigeria Police Force at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Justice A.M. Liman of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of the sum of N235,451,969.89, traced to the account of a convicted fraudster, Okeke Obinwanne, to the Federal government of Nigeria. Justice Liman had, on March 23, 2020, ordered the interim forfeiture of the money domiciled in First City Monument Bank, following an ex parte application dated December 18, 2019 by the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has appealed to the Federal Government to immediately restrict international flights, following recent reports indicating a new wave of Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), has announced 122 new infections of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country. The NCDC made this known via its verified website on Wednesday. The public health Agency stated that the new infection were reported from 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The agency said that the infections had brought the total number of cases  in the country to 67,838. Oil prices rose on Wednesday as the market awaited a pact from producers on output, which many traders expect will continue to be reined in.
