Nigeria on Thursday, recorded seven deaths and single-day highest surge of 1,964 COVID-19 new cases, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, reported on its Twitter handle @NCDCgov. With total 116,655 recorded infections by January 21, the country has so far tested 1,203,113 people since the first index case was announced on February 27, 2020. U.S. vice president Kamala Harris, says the country reversed its withdrawal from the World Health Organisation, WHO, in order to resume its constructive role in global public health. She spoke with WHO Director-General, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus on Thursday.
