Operatives of the Lagos Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have re-arrested a suspected internet fraudster, Ismailia Mustapha for laundering funds obtained through unlawful activities and retention of alleged proceeds of crime. Malian military authorities on Monday condemned sanctions imposed on its country by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and responded by recalling its ambassadors to the organisation’s member states. On Sunday, ECOWAS countries had imposed tough sanctions against the military authorities of Mali. A Myanmar court on Monday sentenced ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi to four more years in prison, according to sources familiar with the court proceedings. She was accused of breaking coronavirus restrictions and possessing unlicensed walkie-talkies. She allegedly broke telecommunications and import-export laws in relation to walkie-talkies.
