The Northwest University Sokoto (NWUS), has released the approved cut-off marks for admission into its various undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. ASHENEWS recalls that the Nigerian univerties, on Monday, retained 150 as cut-off marks for JAMB admissions. According to a statement by the Director of Communications, Public Affairs and Protocol, Abdallah el-Kurebe, the marks, released by the university’s Admissions Unit, were pegged at 150 for most of the programmes, while professional and health-related courses attracted higher cut-off marks. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the resumption of Phase III of the Nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, which will run from May 11 to July 10, 2026. The naira strengthened further against the United States dollar at Nigeria’s official foreign exchange market on Wednesday, edging closer to the critical N1,350/$ threshold.
