The Federal Government, has eased the nationwide movement placed as a result of the dreaded coronavirus. Announcing the development at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, PTF, on Thursday, its National Coordinator, Dr Sani Aliyu said the curfew has been relaxed to now be from 12pm to 4am. “We are modifying the curfew to commence from 12 midnight to 4am nationwide, effective from 12:00 tonight. “This does not apply to people on essential services and international travellers that might be returning from abroad,” he said. By Tina George, Minna Suspected bandits have ambushed and killed 17 vigilantes in Dukku, Rijau local government area of Niger state.  This is coming after less than 24 hours of similar attacks in Kagara town of Rafi local government area and Adagbyi village in Shiroro local government area of the state.  Ashenewsonline gathered that the vigilantes were tried to neutralize some bandits following a tip-off, but the bandits over-powered and killed them.  Two of the bandits were however reported to have been killed while exchanging gun fire with the vigilantes. Suspected bandits have stormed Adagbyi village in Galkogo District of Shiroro local government area of Niger state. The bandits, stormed the village at 3am on Thursday and abducted nine villagers. ​​​ Although the Spokesperson of the Niger state Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun could not be reached to confirm the development, a source confirmed the attack. “At 3am this morning, bandits attacked Adagbyi village and abducted 15 people. The Delta Government has approved the revised 2021 to 2023 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF/FSP) for the state. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Wednesday nigh announced four deaths and 216 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the total infections in the country to 54,463. The Centre made this known on its official twitter handle, @NCDCgov.
