The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr Hakeem Odumosu, on Tuesday said that 520 suspects had been arrested for various offences ranging from arson, robbery, murder to unlawful possession of firearms during the #EndSARS protests. Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the Director-General of the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), said that she met N2.3 billion debt on her assumption. She added that there were few numbers of vehicles that were functional with other malfunctioning utilities. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), has urged African governments to intensify efforts towards adoption of cleaner energy sources, noting that 80 per cent of air quality in the continent was bad. The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to hear a suit brought by the Bayelsa government seeking to stop the Federal government from further paying monthly statutory allocation from Soku oil wells to Rivers. Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, who led the seven-man panel of justices of the apex court declined hearing the matter on the grounds that the court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the matter. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) on Tuesday said 59.6 per cent of electricity consumers in the country were still on estimated billing as at March 2020. NERC made this known in its First Quarter 2020 Report which was obtained from its website. The regulatory agency said the huge metering gap for end-use customers remained a key challenge in the industry. Nigeria on Monday recorded 119 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in Nigeria to 62,111. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, made this known via its verified Website on Monday. The centre also recorded two COVID-19-related deaths in the last 24 hours. Irate mob on Monday reportedly attacked Oba Olatunde Falabi, the Akire of Ikire, Osun, where they allegedly chased  away the king and seal off the palace. It was gathered that the Oba Falabi was taken into safety by military personnel who rescued the king from the mob who were on a mission to forcefully evict him.
