Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has commended the efforts of the Victims Support Fund (VSF) Taskforce on COVID-19, for its emergency programme to cushion the effects of the pandemic on the lives of Nigerians.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, Mary Noel-Berje made available to AsheNews on Monday, Sani Bello made the commendation when he received members of the taskforce on a courtesy visit at the Government House in Minna, the state capital.

The Governor said the intervention would help in addressing some of the challenges the people are faced with while also supporting the health facilities in the state.

Governor Sani Bello then assured the team of the state government’s support in ensuring that the intervention gets to the beneficiaries.
