The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, said it recorded 240 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. The centre, which confirmed this on its official Twitter handle, @NCDCgov said Anambra recorded the highest of 85, followed by Lagos which recorded 82. Other states are Osun-17; Ogun-10; Kwara-9; FCT-8; Kano-7; Abia-6; Borno-4; Edo-2; Bayelsa-2; Kaduna-2 and Rivers-1. According to NCDC, the country has recorded 155,657 confirmed cases since the first index case, with 133,768 discharged and 1,907 fatalities.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has advised motorists to stop panic buying of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol saying it has no plan to increase the ex-depot price in March. The Kaduna State Government said on Sunday that bandits killed seven persons in different parts of the state. Mr Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, confirmed the incident in a press statement on Sunday in Kaduna.
