The Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Sokoto (NWUS), Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza, has commended the management and staff for their sustained commitment to the growth and development of the institution.
Professor Bunza gave the commendation during a Senate meeting held at the university on Wednesday, noting that the steady progress recorded by NWUS is the result of collective effort and shared dedication among staff.
According to him, the Founder of Northwest University Sokoto, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, considers members of staff as critical partners in the university’s growth and success.
“The Founder’s passion for higher education is evident. Beyond establishing NWUS, he continues to sponsor students to study outside Nigeria,” Professor Bunza said.
The Vice-Chancellor also disclosed that the university has opportunities for international collaboration, adding that NWUS is already exploring linkages with foreign universities.
“We will begin reaching out to selected universities abroad to establish collaborations and partnerships that will further strengthen our academic programmes and research capacity,” he said.
Professor Bunza urged the management and staff to intensify their efforts, stressing that sustained investment and hard work are necessary to achieve long-term results.
“We must do more. We have to invest more before we can reap the fruits,” he added.
