Some gunmen attacked again in Ondo State on Thursday evening. They kidnapped a man named Mr. Ayodeji Akesinro, who works at the Federal Medical Centre in Owo.
Mr. Akesinro was taken from his home in Upenme community, Owo Local Government Area, around 7 pm on that day.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adebowale Lawal, confirmed the kidnapping on Friday. He said the police and other security groups were already working to catch the kidnappers and free Mr. Akesinro.
The police chief said they are working together with other security agencies to make sure Mr. Akesinro is saved safely. They will also bring the criminals to justice.He added, “Our officers are searching the bushes with other security teams to rescue the victim. We will not stop until the people of the state are safe.”
He said the police are working with the community to keep everyone safe. “It is everyone’s job to help make sure people in the state can sleep safely at night.”
