Quest Merchant Bank Ltd. on Wednesday concluded its 2026 Questember programme with initiatives focused on financial literacy, environmental sustainability, health and community development.

Acting Managing Director Mr Afolabi Olorode said in a statement that the programme provided an opportunity to translate responsible banking into community impact.

He said the bank would continue leveraging its people, resources and expertise to support financial education, environmental responsibility, wellbeing and social development.

Speaking at the end of the programme in Lagos, Olorode said Questember reflected the bank’s broader commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices.

According to him, the month-long Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme brought employees together to support communities through various social interventions.

“Questember represents more than a calendar of CSR activities. It provides an opportunity for us to translate our commitment to responsible banking into meaningful action within the communities we serve,” he said.

The bank engaged Senior Secondary School Two students of Girls Secondary Grammar School (GSGS), Ikoyi, Lagos, on financial literacy and health education.

The students received lessons on money management, savings, responsible financial decisions, healthy lifestyles and career development. The engagement ended with an interactive quiz designed to test their understanding and encourage practical application of the lessons.

The bank also organised a community clean-up exercise and donated waste bins to promote proper waste disposal and environmental responsibility. The exercise was conducted in collaboration with officials of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).

Quest Merchant Bank distributed food items to residents within its host community under its Food Bank Initiative.

Employees also visited Living Fountain Home, where they donated essential items and interacted with children to support vulnerable members of the community.

The bank further introduced Quest2Wellness, a month-long fitness challenge designed to encourage employees to adopt healthier lifestyles and increase physical activity.
