Why APC’s new wave of lies, bigotry and daily propaganda against GRV keeps failing

Recently, I came across videos on social media showing some transport union leaders strategising ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, emphasising the collection of PVCs—just as they did in 2023 when ethnic profiling and intimidation shaped the electoral process.

Once again, they have resorted to the same lies, propaganda, and intimidation in Lagos State because they see that Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) is gaining ground and remains a real political threat to them.

The question is simple: if GRV were irrelevant, as they pretend, why would they deploy thugs to disrupt his events?

First, they lied about his parentage—until his parents publicly debunked it and displayed his certificates for all to see. Meanwhile, the very person these propagandists worship is still in court, using lawyers to prevent his own academic records from being revealed.

GRV is a proud Omo Eko Pataki—a true son of Lagos. He is a Christian, a supporter of Yoruba culture, and a proud promoter of Isese, which earned him the traditional title “Obalefun.” Unlike hypocrites who secretly consult Ifa, he did it openly, bringing dignity and positive attention to African Traditional Religion.

He has never insulted the Yoruba people. His criticism of Tinubu is not an attack on Yoruba identity—Tinubu is a politician, not a deity. GRV is not a thief, not tied to drugs, and not enslaved by greed. He is not hiding his academic records, nor did he lie about them. He studied at one of the world’s highest-ranking universities.

His family lineage is well known, with a history of contributing to the development of Lagos and Nigeria. These reflect integrity, heritage, and the quality of governance Lagosians deserve.

So, the real question is: what are GRV’s policies, his ideas, his convictions? Why do young people admire him so much? Why is the APC so terrified that, despite ruling Lagos for over two decades, they cannot campaign on their so-called achievements but instead rely on thuggery and propaganda to cling to power?

Violence and intimidation are the last refuge of incompetence. That is why more Lagosians are rallying behind GRV.

Let it be clear: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour is not only a proud indigene but also a qualified son of Lagos, capable of governing the state for the benefit of its people. Those who resort to ethnic intimidation and falsehood as political tools should know this—because they are certified peddlers of lies and rumour, their propaganda will continue to fail, especially as 2027 draws nearer.
