He has consistently frowned upon the exploitative template that the APC-led government in Lagos continues to adopt, especially in matters affecting the vulnerable and marginalized. Citing the demolition of markets and forced evictions without adequate compensation or alternative arrangements, GRV likened their strategy to the haunting words of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, who once said, “Man is born free, but everywhere he is in chains.” To him, Lagosians have been systematically caged in an environment where governance appears more oppressive than responsive, and where policies seem tailored for the elite rather than the people.
With a vision rooted in freedom, equity, and shared prosperity, GRV is poised to dismantle the entrenched structures of political captivity and modern economic slavery in Lagos. He believes true leadership must be about restoring dignity to the people — creating jobs, ensuring housing rights, strengthening local businesses, and uplifting the voices of the unheard. For him, this is not just a political ambition but a moral duty to liberate Lagosians from decades of economic stranglehold and governance indifference.
As 2027 draws near, GRV’s message becomes even clearer: Lagos must shift from a politics of patronage to a politics of purpose. His aspiration is not just to win an election but to win back the soul of Lagos.
