The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Yakubu Garba, has announced his sponsorship of free surgeries for 100 individuals across Shiroro Local Government Area.
According to the deputy governor, this initiative seeks to provide the much-needed medical assistance to residents in need of various surgical treatments.
The procedures will focus on a range of conditions, including inguinal, femoral, umbilical, and supra-umbilical surgeries.
The surgeries which will be carried out by a skilled and dedicated medical team, will be conducted every Saturday and Sunday.
“Each weekend, a maximum of 20 patients will be attended to, with 10 patients receiving treatment on Saturday and the remaining 10 on Sunday,” a circular issued to this effect said.
The circular therefore urged residents of Shiroro Local Government who are suffering from conditions such as breast lumps, lipoma, ganglion, circumcision, or hydrocele to register for this free surgical service.
