Guinea fowl are like the funky cousins of chickens—loud, quirky, and super useful. They’re great at eating bugs (especially ticks), they’re tough birds, and they add a wild touch to any farm or backyard.

Let’s talk about the different types in simple, human-style language:

Pearl guinea fow

The most popular one! It has dark feathers with tiny white dots all over—like someone sprinkled pearls on it. Super vocal and great at pest control.

Lavender guinea fowl

Soft grayish-blue feathers that look dreamy. People love it for its pretty color and chill vibe.

White guinea fowl

Pure white feathers. Looks fancy and stands out in any flock. Also used in ceremonies because of its clean, peaceful look.

Buff guinea fowl

Warm tan or golden feathers. Adds a cozy, earthy feel to your yard. Not super common, but definitely eye-catching.

Black guinea fowl

Rare and mysterious. Mostly found in Africa. Shy and quiet, with deep dark feathers and a splash of red on the face.

Vulturine guinea fowl

Looks wild! Big bird with blue, black, and white stripes. Its bald head makes it look like a mini vulture—but it’s all style, no scary stuff.

Crested guinea fowl

Has a funky curly crest on its head, like it’s wearing a tiny wig. Dark feathers with white spots. Super unique!

Helmeted guinea fowl

The classic farm type. Has a bony “helmet” on its head. Comes in lots of colors like royal purple, white, and pied. Hardy, loud, and great for beginners.

These birds aren’t just pretty—they’re tough, bug-eating machines that bring personality to your space. Whether you want something stylish, useful, or just plain weird, there’s a guinea fowl for you.
