Technology experts on Monday urged professionals to leverage the numerous opportunities locally available in the technology industry.

The experts highlighted the increasing global demand for Nigerian talents during the third Anniversary of Zulfah Academy in Lagos.

The Chief Executive Officer, Zulfah Academy, Abayomi Ajao said the belief that success in technology was only attainable abroad was false, noting that with the right skills and mindset, professionals could thrive locally.

Ajao stressed the importance of problem-solving skills and dynamic approach to technology, urging developers to focus on creating solutions to local challenges.

The expert appealed to the government to support information technology companies that believe in the Nigerian dream.

According to him, this will enable those who invest in technology-driven education to earn legitimate income and contribute to socioeconomic development.

Another expert, Yusuf Jimoh, encouraged aspiring professionals to leverage collaboration for global competitiveness, noting that passion and resilience were required to benefit from the technology industry.

Similarly, a participant in Zulfah Academy’s training, Christianah Ogunleye commended the organisers, adding that the programme enhanced her knowledge about technology and its numerous opportunities.
