Palliative: Adamawa APC accuses Fintiri of selective distribution

ASHENEWS reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa state has accused the state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri of selectively distributing palliative in the state.

An APC loyalist in the state, Hussaini Gambo while speaking in Yola said that Fintiri’s decision to rebrand the foodstuff intervention with his photo inscription and assign local government councilors to share the goods has violated the principles of equity and inclusion.

Gambo faulted the exclusion of the APC House of Assembly members from the committee.

He expressed concern that the governor’s deliberate action to sideline the APC lawmakers is a clear indication that the palliative is only going to be shared among the members of the ruling PDP in the state.

Hussain reminded the Governor that his administration is not only for PDP members, saying that he is very much aware of how thousands of APC members have voted for his second term bid during the last governorship election.

Hussaini called on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to intervene in the Adamawa palliative provided by the Federal Government because Governor Fintiri is out to sideline APC members.

Hussaini further accused the governor of being on a vendetta against non-PDP members.

“All the committees formed in charge of the distribution there is no APC stakeholder included, even our elective office holders like the state house of assembly lawmakers have been excluded from being the committee.

“How can there be equal distribution? The so-called councilors in charge of the distribution at ward levels are all PDP elected, none of them is from the APC or any political party. Something urgent has to be done,” Hassan said.
