John Agbo, a 34-year-old man was on Friday remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl.
The order was given by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, ordered the police to duplicate the case file and forward a copy to the State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
She adjourned the case until May 30.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, DSP Kehinde Ajayi told the court that Agbo committed the offense in 2022 at No 9, Ogunsanya St., Orile-Iganmu, Lagos.
She said that the offense contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
