ASHENEWS reports that the Kebbi state government has assured the Nigerian Army of sustained support for command secondary schools in the state.
The deputy governor of the state, Umar Abubakar stated this when he received the Corps Commander of the Nigerian Army Education Corps, Major General Bello A. Tsoho on a courtesy call in Birnin Kebbi.
He emphasized the importance of education to the state and national development and stressed the need for wealthy individuals, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders to invest in the sector.
A statement issued by Murtala M. Gotomo, the Press Secretary of, the Deputy Governor’s Office said that the deputy governor equally lauded the gallantry effort of the Nigerian Army in combating insecurity within the state.
He assured the Nigerian Army and other security agencies of the state government’s continued support towards maintaining peace and stability in the state.
On his part, the Corps Commander, Major General Bello Tsoho lauded the state government’s untiring support towards enhancing military operations within the state.
Tsoho, who expressed gratitude for the warm reception, also lauded the state government for the commendable conditions of the Nigerian Army Command Schools in Goru and Jega.
He added that their visit was aimed at updating the government on the progress and achievements of the Nigerian Army command schools in Goru and Jega.
The Corps-Commander further reminded the Government of the need to sign the MOU on the running of the schools.
He mentioned that one of the State Command Schools has been recognized and honored with awards from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), further solidifying its reputation as one of the best command schools in the country.
