A member of the National Assembly, NASS, and member representing Tsafe Federal Constituency in Zamfara state, Kabiru Amadu has toed behind the state governor, Bello Muhammad to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The member, who made the declaration on his Facebook account on Monday, told the people of his constituency that he had taken the decision to follow the governor to the APC.

“I would like to use this opportunity to inform you that I agreed with the governor’s decision to defect from the PDP to APC.

“All arrangements made by the governor were in consultation with me from the first day until the date of the decision to defect.

“I apologize that a 10-day course by the European Parliament will not avail me the opportunity to attend the ceremony.

“When we return, we will call on all our political partners to take a step back and elaborate on the new process.

“Finally, I apologize to anyone who may not be happy with this step I have taken; our political calculations have turned from here.

“I also thank our well-wishers who have chosen to remain in the PDP. I also thank them for all the support they have given me during our struggle,” Rep Ahmadu stated.
