The Jigawa State Government has approved a ₦575 million embankment and dyke rehabilitation project along the Gambara–Waza–Dutse road to curb flooding and protect major access routes.
Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, Sagir Musa, announced this on Tuesday after the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting in Dutse. He said the project would safeguard communities, protect lives and property, and ease movement between rural and urban areas.
The SEC also approved an organogram for the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development, which Musa said would transform the agricultural sector, boost livestock production, and enhance value chains in line with Governor Umar Namadi’s blueprint and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
