The Sokoto State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Usaini Gumel has said that synergy between security agencies will boost crime prevention in the state.
Gumel made the call when he visited the state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Jabiru Yusuf-Nadabo on Wednesday.
The CP who solicited for increased working synergy with the FRSC, also commended men of the corps for their gallant support when an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) was attacked in Abuja.
”Synergy with other security agencies will augment the shortage of manpower bedeviling the police force in protecting lives and properties of the citizens,” Gumel said.

He added that the visit was to improve on the existing cordial relationship between the two organizations, established by his predecessor.
While promising to reinforce the synergy with all the sister agencies, Gumel expressed appreciation on the corps’ commitment in saving lives and urged its personnel to be security conscious while carrying out their daily activities.
Responding, Yusuf-Nadabo thanked the CP for the visit, saying that FRSC was recording success in synergizing with police on rescue operations and traffic management.
The sector commander informed the CP on the ongoing clampdown on unregistered motorcycles in the state, adding that the command was recording successes in the operation.
He pledged continued synergy with the police force and thereafter wished the CP success in all the areas.
