In the report, the paper further alleged that the CBN had made money available to the Lagos State governorship candidate of the Labour Party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, ahead of the March 18 governorship election.
However, the CBN, in a stamen by its Actinf Director of Corporate Communications, Dr. Isa Abdulmumini, made available to ASHENEWS on Monday, described the report as fake news and malicious.
According to the CBN, “the CBN Governor does not know and has never met or even spoken with Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, either in person or through a proxy.”
