An environmentalist, Mr. Philip Jakpor, has described the collapse of a three-storey building in the Alakija area of Lagos as evidence of persistent regulatory failure in Nigeria’s construction sector. The Tomatoes Growers and Processors Association of Nigeria (TOPAN) has assured Nigerians that the current high prices of tomatoes will decline considerably from late July as the wet-season harvest begins. The Kaduna State Chairman of TOPAN, Mr Rabiu Zuntu, gave the assurance in an interview with reporters on Sunday in Lagos.
