The Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited has started assembling Land Trek, 3008, 5008 and the new 508 vehicles in Nigeria. The vehicles being built at the new Green Field Assembly Plant in Nigeria’s northwestern region, are coming nearly four years after joint owners received approval from the Nigerian regulator for the former plant, Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria Ltd. According to the Nigerian automaker, the newly plant can assemble 120 vehicles per day across two shifts. Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court Abuja on Wednesday, ordered the prosecution Counsel to pay N200,000 for stalling proceeding in the trial of co-defendants in Nnamdi Kanu on treasonable felony charge. Justice Nyako ordered that each of the four defendants be paid N50,000 by the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) for the inconveniences they suffered as a result of the lead counsel, Shuaib Labaran’s absence in court. The cost of petrol and diesel in Germany has reached an all-time high, the ADAC motoring association said on Wednesday. The previous day, E10 petrol cost €1.712 ($1.93) based on a nationwide daily average, breaking the previous record of €1.709 on September 13, 2012, ADAC reported. Diesel cost €1.640 per litre. However, prices had been driven up by the oil market; the value of North Sea Brent recently exceeded $90 per barrel, its highest level in years. Mr Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)  has urged rice mills in the country to embrace CBN’s backward integration initiatives aimed at conserving foreign exchange reserves.
